Final Double Page Spread

Contents Page Analysis 2

The bright colours used on this contents page suggest that there target audience are teenagers or young adults.

The main text on this contents page is slanted on different angles which immediately tells the reader that the magazine isn't conventional and ab it out of the ordinary.

This contents page uses a 3 column layout so the contents page can be spilt into different sections cleanly.

The box on the bottom of the page doesn't follow suit with the colour scheme of the rest of the page , this is done to attract the readers eye towards the advertisement. On the advertisement it has white text with bold yellow text for the keypoints of the ad.
The main contents are situated around the main centre which consists of 'ALBUMS OF 2009'. This attracts the readers eye because it is the first thing they look at and it says it includes everything you need to hear this year.
On the left hand side there is a list of bands and the font is in red which attracts the readers eye because it is different to all the others and is not within the colour scheme. It once again attracts the readers eye because they can look for any certain band.

Contents Page Analysis 1

The main image of a band on the right side of the contents page is a image of 4 men in sterotypical teenage clothing which surgest the target audience are people aged between 17 - 30.  The colour scheme also sugests that this magazine isnt for a young audience as it is quite simple and not got bright colours.

The layout of this contents page is very clean minimalistic which uses 3 main colours for its colour scheme which are red, white and black. The reason red is used is because its Q magazines main colour and it also stands out above the black and the white colours.

The text on the left side of the page page uses tall bold font to attract the eye to the key infomation of the page and under that text it has text which is small and goes into more detail about the artical on that certain page.

Double Page Analysis 2

The target audience of this magazine would be people in there early 20s as the colours used in the magazine are boring colours such as brown and doesn't include any bright colours, so this surges ts that this article is aimed at a more mature audience.

The colour scheme used in this double page spread is browns and black, in the main image on the left of the magazine all the members of the band have browny/black coloured clothes to suit the magazines colour scheme. The main title on the left, the text brown text is on a white background so it is easy see the text instead of it being lay ed over the image which would work as you wouldn't able to see the text properly.

On the right side of the double page it has the main text content, which has a tall slim alignment with the image on left. The text is black on a white background so the audience can read the article well. The main key points of the article has a black background so the text stands out better.

The whole double page spread is laid out very good and everything is aligned for a clean look article. The text is very minimal in size compared to the main image, which I think is important as they want the audience look straight at the image first so they realise what band the article is about before they read the article to the right.

Double Page Analysis 1

The band in the artical is a indie group. The magazine is target audience are fans and followers of the rock band 'The Teenagers'. It’s aimed at them for the reason that the entire magazine is about indie music and artist. A majority of the audience may not be interested in this particular band but its fans and followers will defiantly be interested.

The colour scheme shows us, the audience, and a relaxing environment it relates to their indie music. Theirs only main colours blue and black used as the colour scheme they use to make the white text stand out, that colour is white. The colour white makes it easier for the audience to read the key points in the article. In the top paragraph, “The Teenagers is highlighted in black; it’s highlighted in red so that the name “The Teenagers” stands out from the lighter coloured text.

The double spread page is laid out with the main picture of the band on the left side of the doublepage spread, this attracts the eye towards the main image. All the infomation is on the right of the image, the text is black on top of a white background making it easy to read.
